With the previous PESTLE-analysis in his mind and focused on the review he has to present to Mr. Bourges, Dr. Rogers begins to design a mind map of all people who will be affected by his project and/or will have an impact on it. During his brainstorming phase he recognizes that there are also some organisations and entities with a vested interest in this undertaking. After writing down all potential stakeholders he has to decide whether to group them or not. Now that he is aware of all stakeholders, he needs to categorise them in a proper manner. The best way for doing this is to draw a matrix which maps the degree to which a stakeholder is affected by the project on the ordinate (y-axis) and their degree of influence on the abscissa (x-axis).
